Okay, as we all know, I have gone ahead and created an IRC channel for all you TE-members to hang out in, so it's my responsibility to provide you info to get to it.

Server : irc.darkmyst.org
Channel : #TerraEarth

Instructions : Open up your IRC Client, (You can use mIRC, Trillian, XChat etc) then type "/server irc.nightstar.net" (Without the quotes) in the server connect window. You will then be connected to the IRC server which the TerraEarth channel is located. To join the channel just type "/join #terraearth" (Again, without the quotes)and you will be joined to the channel.

Commands you should know :

- /server <Address> <port> <Password> Connects to a server, type "-m" after "/server" to open a new window when connecting. Some servers use a different port other than the default 6667, in which case you must provide the port number. Some servers have a password too.
- /join <#Channel>Joins a channel, if channel doesn't exist, it will be created automatically. (Some servers disallow channel creation with this method)
- /nick <Your_Nick> Sets your nick to the one specified. Some characters are disallowed, and in some cases, some nicks are protected by a nick server (You can protect yours by registering it).
- /me <action> Performs an action, usually used in RP situations. ( Eg : "/me kicks DeathPit in the balls" shows up as " * Joan kicks DeathPit in the balls")
- /msg <Recipient> <Your_Message> Sends a private message to the specified recipient.
- /part <#channel> <Parting_message> Leaves a specific channel with the parting message.
- /quit <Quit_message> Disconnects from the server with the specified quit message.

The amazing thing is that I am actually going to IRC for this.. I don't really like IRC, most of the time.

is it still roxing on? ... Chatting is handy and saves up the time wasted just to write dozens of pms that are never answered because of whatever reason. In IRC ppl are forced to answer as they get the message immediately and their a load of ppl can chat not like ICQ-like private chatting ... that's what I like 'bout it Smile

I wouldn't mind it I suppose, but probably not all that many people will ever be there at one time, or the times that I would be able to be on. Razz

- Only prob for me may be the time shift .... since to HK it's a straight damn run from here ... somewhat like 6-7h ...
