I found this on another forum:
http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?p=91375465
but I found it interesting, so i'll post some of the info here too.
"On November 27, 1993 Enix published Gaia Gensōki (ガイア幻想紀) in Japan for the Super Famicom.
The game developed by Quintet would later be distributed by Nintendo in America, Europe and Australia either under the name Illusion of Gaia or Illusion of Time.
Being the game pushed by Nintendo in the west it is no surprise that it was quite popular in those regions, even more than the revered Secret of Mana.
This thread is dedicated to Tomoyoshi Miyazaki, he vanished as mysteriously as Quintet did in early 2000."

DAT NINETIES HAIR
and he probably made his opus and then went "Eh, I'm good" and left the game making scene. _________________

Hey look, some neogaf member is using gifs I posted on tumblr without sourcing, tisk tisk. I guess I shouldn't hold it against them since they're obviously a big Quintet fan.
Tomoyoshi Miyazaki, mystery man!! Perhaps someday he'll come back to the biz to make us all scratch our heads some more. _________________ "What is man? A miserable little pile of secrets." - Andre Malraux |

OMG THE HAIR.
One of the few things I dont miss about the 90s. I personally rocked an undercut
So many of my favorite things turned 20 this year, its making me feel very old. Should probably illusion of Gaia again (why is this in the soul blazer section anyway?) I never did finish it, and its a shame, I have played through both Soul Blazer and Terranigma. _________________

Wow, it's been just a smidge over 20 years since I bought Illusion of Time (as it was released here in the UK), back in the winter of '95.
I was 13yo back then, and I still had hair... (not quite as long as that photo, but shoulder-length for a 13yo boy isn't shabby).
Course, then I started going bald the following year, so that kinda kinda sucked a couple of big hairy ones... _________________
