TerraEarth.com // Illusion of Gaia // Secret Stage: If you collect all 50 Red Jewels in Illusion of Gaia and return them to Gem the Jeweler in Dao, he will take you to his secret mansion, which is probably the hardest level in the game. The level itself is not that long, however the enemies are very strong. First of all, you should have plenty of herbs before going (try to have around 5 herbs). You should try to save herbs throughout the game because you can't buy them anywhere. Try to be as careful as you can when fighting through the level and try not to lose too much HP. You don't have to kill any of the monsters in the level if you don't want to, you don't get anything for it. So if possible, just try to dodge the monsters if you can. Tip #1 The sliding attack works very well against the eye creatures because you can slide under the lasers they shoot without taking damage. Tip #2 Make sure you don't pass up this herb containing treasure chest. It's located north of the first bridge. Tip #3 Walk around to this part of the bridge and use Will's Psycho Slide to pass through to the other side. Tip #4 The boss Solid Arm lurks just inside this door. Be sure to replenish your HP before entering. You should also equip an herb so you can use it quickly during battle. Tip #5 You'll find out that Solid Arm is really Gem the Jeweler in his true form! Tip #6 This is a very tough boss fight. The best way to defeat Solid Arm is to keep using the Psycho Slide attack on him. Just stay on the upper platform with him and keep sliding back and forth at him. You won't hit him every time, but just keep doing it. Once you try it a few times, you'll get the timing down. Sometimes, after you slide into Solid Arm, you can't avoid being hit by his arm. Most of the time you'll automatically dodge the attack, but once in a while you'll get hit. Keep aware of this and make sure you have plenty of herbs to outlast him in this long battle. Tip #7 After you defeat Solid Arm, he tells you Blazer was strong, but you are stronger. He then transports you back to the tower of Babel. That's it! That's all you get for defeating this very tough boss. It's pretty disappointing if you ask me, but still, you should try beating him, just for the satisfaction. |
