hmm .. maybe final fantasy or secret of mana.
even though IOG is cooler then them.
but all games in the gaia trilogy are sorta like IOG. _________________ Whenever there's light, there are shadows.

I loaded up Lagoon for ZSNES, OMG it is so simplistic. It's going back to NES Zelda in that you can't move diagonal. I think I'll pass on that one. I'm playing Terranigma now. After that, Zelda, then maybe Secret of Evermore. |

Pretty much every one I was going to mention has been mentioned already.
A word of advice, do NOT buy Secret of Mana. It's a glitchy, overhyped, fanboy-praised, slapped-together game not worth your time (No offense to anyone here who plays it). SoE, however, is fantastic, IMO. Most SoM fans don't seem to agree with me though.... |

I prefer Secret of Mana of Secret of Evermore, and I prefer Seiken Densetsu 3 over Secret of Mana. _________________ It's high time I revised this signature. |

I never got in to SoM, but I always promised myself I'd go back to it.
Never finished SoE either, but that's also on my "to do" list. _________________

I only got about 1/4-1/2 of the way into SoM, I think I got about 1/100 of the way into SoE , but finished SD3. _________________ It's high time I revised this signature. |

I'm using the ZSNES, so if I got Secret of Mana, it's not like I blew some money for it |

Oh, ok then. I spent $40 on it (I don't like roms), and was disappointed. |

I bought the strat guide for SoM, but I got stuck and I haven't touched it since. I do, however, own Sword of Mana for my GBA.
Secret of Evermore... got stuck there too. In the first world even! Yeah, I suck at those games. I'm good at Seiken Densetsu 3 though. _________________

Sword of Mana makes for a good play if you've got a GBA. I played from the guy's storyline, and might get around to playing the girls'. _________________

I have a save game for both characters. I'm stuck in both of them. _________________

Well, in addition to the main series, Quintet also did both ActRaisers, Robotrek/Slapstick, and the Granstream Saga, but those are only similar in style to Gaia, and they're not even really similar in style. |

Just chipping in with a suggestion of Alundra, Alundra 2 and Vagrant Story. |

I highly recommend you Alundra. It's the only Action-RPG which I can say that surpasses Illusion of Gaia both in gameplay and story. In fact, it's the best Action-RPG I have ever played.
Alundra 2 is a mediocre game that was developed by other company and which had nothing in common with the original Alundra; the main character wasn't named Alundra, neither it was the same world. They used the name to make money. Don't care about it. |
