Actually the talk was about a Japanese movie called "Battle Royale" (don't count on it coming to the states).

It's about the near future when the economy drops, and the schoolkids rebel. So to solve this problem, they put into the BR act (or Battle Royale Act) where to keep the kids in check, they select random highschool freshman classes to go on to a deserted island and kill each other. Only one can remain, and if no one dies by the third day, they all die.

Very Happy

It's a pretty gruesome movie, but it was awesome.
