Here is the reproduction of my Notepad document which kept record of every time and every way I died in Halo on Legendary. For those of you who don't like Halo, still read it as each death's explanation gets progressively funnier and more bizzare.

Pillar of Autumn

Death 1:
Leaned beside an active grenade.

Death 2:
See death 1

Halo

Death 3:
Ran headlong into dropship of grunts and got ass-raped.

Death 4:
See Death 3

Death 5:
Don't ask.

Death 6:
See Death's 1 and 2.

Death 7:
Got tired of living and foolishly leapt to my death from a 20 ft high structure?!!! WTF?!

Death 8:
Whilst exploring a lifepod, I got shot by a Red/ Blue Elite Combo

Death 9:
See Death 8

Death 10:
For once, somewhere in the fucking galaxy, a Needler proved useful.

Death 11:
Killed while vainly struggling through my own pool of blood for a Health Pack.

Death 12:
"What the hell? More grunts? This'll be easy!"

Death 13:
I was mowing down Grunts than Mr. Red Elite popped his nose in.

Death 14:
Took a fully armored Blue Elite on in a melee fight. He won.

Death 15:
Let's just say that the term one-man-army means a losing army.

Death 16:
Red Elites really are the fastest guns in the west.

Death 17:
I fucking hate that Red Elite and his little grunt buddies.

Death 18:
Apparently you can't run either...

Death 19:
It was a good plan until I died.

Death 20:
Whilst trying to understand why a grunt called me "Cock Wad" the plasma grenade did the explaining.

Death 21:
I died heroically charging headlong into a Fuel Rod Cannon Blast.

Death 22:
Everybody was kung fu fighting, particularily that Red Elite that ass-raped me.

Death 23:
I thought the gun turret was the best position on the Warthog, until the Jackals showed up.

Death 24:
Let's just say that my death was an indirect result of poor depth perception and a live plasma grenade.

Death 25:
I shoulda kept running, I should have ignored my teammate, but damn I'm just too nice... for my own good.

Death 26:
Okay... so there's TWO Red Elites and the second one ass-rapes me before my plasma grenade kills it.

Death 27:
I got beat down by... you guessed it... a Red Elite!

Death 28:
Beautiful. I stuck a Red Elite with a grenade, who then meleed me to death. My broken corpse landed in the back seat of the Warthog which was then exploded by the grenade I stuck on the Red Elite. The Warthog flew back against the wall and launched my corpse into the gap where it will be feasted upon by angry rats.

Death 29:
Stuck between a rock and... well elites.

Death 30:
There is no escape from the Red Elite.

Death 31:
Joyride of Doom!

Death 32:
All the way back to die in a pool of my own blood.

Death 33:
I didn't know there was a blue elite there!

Death 34:
I told the fucker to get in the turret!!!!

Death 35:
Let's charge right into a plasma beam!

Death 36:
I killed the Red Elite than died at the hands of a fucking Jackal!

Death 37:
Being shot in the back while jumping makes it look like you're flying!

Death 38:
And suddenly a dropship was there too!

Death 39:
I was surrounded... and the sun was in my eyes... bastards.

Both. And even experts on Halo have difficulty with Legendary. I've finished Part II btw.

sounds like you only managed to do 2 levels in part 1

Unfortuantely I remain on that same level in Part II , but Part III starts off at Truth and Reconcilliation (level 3), so I'm good.
