What's the general storyline of the Oracle of Seasons/Ages? Are they any good?

Both games take place in different lands... Ages is in Labrynna, Seasons is in Holodrum.

Quick summaries:

In Ages, a sorceress (Veran) has disrupted the flow of time by capturing Nayru. She goes in to the past and takes control of the Queen of Labrynna, Ambi, and has a tower built with slave labour. This alters the present day, with the tower now being complete, and Veran in power.

And Link has to stop her. Time traveling, and shyte. Gathering essences of ages, and all.

In Seasons, General Onox captures Din, which throws the seasons in to chaos. You gradually gain the ability to alter the seasons yourself, and have to use them to alter the landscapes to move on.

And Link has to stop him. Changing seasons, and shyte. Gathering essences of nature, and all.

If you play them legit on a Gameboy Colour, you can link the two games (carry certain information from one completed game to the other game), and get the "real" ending (which involves Ganondorf and Twinrova being involved in the whole mess).

I'd definitely recommend them, but they play differently. Seasons is more action-oriented, and Ages is more about the puzzles (harder, too).

Sounds interesting, kind of a pseudo-seqeul to Ocarina of Time then?

In a way, I guess. It uses some of the same characters (Impa, Din, Nayru, and even Farore makes an appearance), but they're all in different roles than in OoT.
