Ok, this happens to be the first ruins in the game, with a boss at the end. The boss for this ruins will be later on explained. Feel free to post any hard parts or moments you had in this ruins.

Ok, and now I am writing the section for the Larai Cliff boss. His name is Castoth.

Ever since I have fought this boss, I have only seen three attacks. So, I will name them from what I've seen.

His techniques are:
Row of three fireballs going across: Be sure to dodge this! It is very hard to dodge, and you could get hurt quite easily.
Diamond crosser: The diamond crosser can go southwest, southeast, northeast, and northwest. Absolutely make sure that you dodge this! It is very annoying!
Shooting lasers: This is a move that Castoth can perform himself. When he shoots lasers, get near the top of the room, or go to the top, and be sure to dodge this, also while trying to avoid the row of three fireballs, and the diamond crosser.

Make sure you use Freedan when fighting this boss.

Well, that pretty much covers it for the Larai Cliff boss. I thought I'd post in a lot of bosses of the ruins, just so I can help people out.

For a first boss, Castoth is pretty hard. The first time playing him, I just kept getting wrecked. I think the most important part of battling him is to dodge his lazers.

There's a section where you need to jump down to a lower ledge on the outside cliff face. It's pretty easy to miss on your first play through because you're not used to looking for jump locations yet. I was lost for like 10 minutes.

Yeah, when I first played through this game at 12, it was kinda daunting. IOG is what I site as my intro to modern adventure/action games... I got this, A Link To The Past, and SMRPG all around the same time and Gaia and SMRPG eased me into RPGs... But Castith is really hard when he's your first "for reals" boss...
