pointless glitches/errors

anyone found many of these in the game?

ive found a couple, maybe they are well known, maybe not.

in beruga's lab, in the elevator, you can push the button opposite to the direction youre going as many times as you want. it shows the animation and everything, but only plays the sound once.

if you have no weapon equipped, ark's impatient pose still shows him leaning on a staff.

anyone care to contribute to this list?

i dunno if you can call it a "glitch" and its definitely not unknown, but with that jump/fly attack (i cant remember the name) you are invincible while attacking... actually you COULD beat the game without getting hit once, if your timing is right... always...

i think youre only invincible when using the slicer attack. so it is theoretically possible to not get hit... except in storyline moments where you are obliged to get toasted by one thing or another

To be honest, I came to this board to directly ask this question:

Is this a problem with my ROM? I've been wanting to finish this game forever, but there's a glitch that seems to be preventing me from progressing.

I've made it to the part after I've awakened the mammals, and the lions have asked me to come into their cave to assist them, but when I enter the cave, Ark appears on a completely black screen, with some sort of apparent mist floating around. If I move Ark around, it is actually possible for me to move him off screen and it is very difficult to find him again. I basically have to reset the game, and cannot proceed further.

I've been using ZSNES for some time, and upgraded to the latest version, but this did not seem to resolve the matter.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

actually, there SHOULD be a black screen but you should see some red eyes too cause theres a small scene where you almost got eaten by lions...

Like chicken said, there should be a black screen, but it might be your ROM. Or, you can try a different emulator, and see if you get the same problem (SNES9x, maybe). If so, then it's your ROM that has a problem.

HOWEVER, you can import your save game progress over to whatever new ROM file you download from the old ROM save file. Just rename the save data (it has the same name as the zip/file name for the actual game data) to the new ROM zip/file. It has to be the EXACT same name for it to work, though.

last game i played was on a friend's cart (mine had been borrowed 7 years ago and never returned, hope the thief burns for it) and i beat the guard robot in beruga's lab (dont know what its called).
when i lande the killing blow, i gained a level, and the 'one last trick' message popped up.
as such it recorded a level up, but no stat boosts. what a useless levelup.
