I download in Kazaalite all the time. I don't share though, so they no one will care about me. They go after the people who distribute a lot of stuff at once, because that's what's illegal. (I remember reading some loophole that says.... in Canada, at least.... that downloading is fine, but sharing/distributing is illegal).

Lemme tell you what's really immoral here? How much they overcharge CD's. After all, music is just patterned sound wave manipulations.

Not to mention CDs cost next to nothing to press, but cost almost twice as much as tapes.

Greedy bastards in the music industry, is what. They charge this much because people won't boycott. If people stopped buying them, they'd have no choice but to lower the price.

And through all the record company price filtering, artists get very little money through their CD's.

I heard each member of momu only gets 9 cents (if I am correct) for each single bought. Shocked

Either way, you would be supporting the artist directly better by just giving them a dollar. XD

what about anime DVDs?
they're like $30AUS-$40AUS for 4 episodes
then they have those special boxsets that only have one DVD in it which is another $20AUS

Anime boxsets here are, if not complete, around $40US-$60US, depending what comes with (Wolf's Rain boxset came with the first DVD, a Kiba plushie and the soundtrack. It cost $60US). Anime boxsets that are the entire series usually go for $50-$150.... unless you look at the Gundam Zeta limited boxset....$200US. My Sailor Moon and Sailor Moon R boxsets were $100 and $120. And Kenshin generally runs at $150.

If I buy all the stuff I want, I'll be broke Crying or Very sad

I download music that I wouldn't bother buying anyway. Not gonna buy an album for $25 when there's only one song I want.

Same. I can't stand doing that. And with the game soundtracks I download, I usually end up buying them anyways. Smile
