Okay. This is the first of several demos. I am going to be releasing demos as a way of showing progress on the game.

Note: Don't worry. This is pretty much the size the final version of the game will be, give or take a few MB.

Controls

ESC- Menu/Cancel
Enter/ Space- Confirm/Talk/Action
Shift- Hold to run (does not work on World Map).
Arrow Keys- Move in a given direction.

Installation Instructions

1. Unzip the file using a program such as WinRar. Most computers can automatically unzip files in this format.
2. Open the folder that says RPGMakerVX1.02 and install RPG Maker VX on your computer. (A trial period will begin on the editing software, but you will be able to PLAY games indefinitely.)
3. Use Autorun to install the software. If it does not work, open the folders RPGVX and RPGVX_RTP and use Setup to install the software and RTP separately.
4. Open the folder TerraEarth and run Game.exe (It's the one with the Icon of the Chess Piece).
5. To would-be game designers, open up Game.rvproj (the one with the gears) and tweak the game, mess with the game, reverse engineer the game, do whatever to it. It's a great chance to learn what RPG Maker VX is all about and how it works.

Features

This demo features the following:
-Character Creation
-Multiple Storylines for Different Parties.
-Fully Formed Town of South Cape (save a few treasure chests and a character or two).
-First Dungeon (Forest area with huballs and the first boss fight).
-Tower of Babel Managment Area (All you can do so far is enter cheat codes though. What are they? I'll never tell XD. But they're not that hard to find out.)
-Battle Engine Version 1.0 (The final version will have a side-view battle system.)
-Some Face Sprites (specifically Blade, Chicken, EverPhoenix, Myself and Rainichan. The rest will be added as I get them in the proper format).

Also I wanted to point out that every citizen in TerraEarth is taken from a master list of TerraEarth members with at least 1 Post. There are a few exceptions, including NPC characters and a couple original characters, such as the Weapons dealer Sensei.

no... that's not what I mean. I have to lay the faces out on an 8x2 grid and then highlight them in a color which acts as a transparency to prevent blocky-ness, which is a time-consuming task to say the least.

Lol. Yeah, there is a slight balance issue that needs to be resolved.

yeah i managed to kill one of the bosses in the battle, the other one just cleaned me good. Other than the balance issues, it was good fun to play and talk to npcs with names ive seen around here.

so i played it for a bit, and it looks great! especially the music sounds very good to me. I can't wait to fight myself in the game Very Happy
