TerraEarth: Absolute- Beta Release Date Moved!

My week has been pretty hellacious. Between my little sister going to the hospital and my week being sucked away job hunting I have found little time to work on the final touches of the game.

Then I find out that a major module which is critical to the infrastructure of the game (the handling of that nefarious Morality factor) is not working properly!

So rather than turn out a shoddy half-formed game on Tuesday, I have decided to do the responsible thing and eat some crow. It sucks, I know, but it's for the best.

So, the bottom line is this:


The New Beta Release Date is April 19, 2009



I know this adds three weeks to the release date, but this gives me plenty of time to get my ducks in a row, not to mention guarantees a more quality final product. However, it should be noted that:

If the Beta is finished before this date, it will be released within 48 hours of the complete date.

im not sure about the other testers, but i have a lot of stuff creeping up on me, so the extended release date gives me more time to get all that stuff out of the way.

Like Nintendo always says: a delayed game can be made better... a rushed game is bad forever.

I don't think anyone is too impatient to see the game. Best to take care of personal business first, and worry about secondary obligations once the important stuff is handled.

Wait, are you talking about music you have written yourself for the Integral Soundtrack or just character and hometown themes?

It is never too late! Except April 17th... then it's too late. Well for the beta.

And yes its USHHG. I need to tell her to get her butt back on the board.

On that note, recstudios (aka Brendan, my former Assistant Programmer and head Beta Tester for TE:A) bailed on the project when we had a huge falling out, so don't expect to see him on the board. It's very complicated and I respect his privacy too much to give details.
