Ok, so I'm probably the last person on the planet to make the connection, but:

Anyone remember Chrono Trigger? Anyone? Sure you do... it was some moderately-popular game in the SNES days, or something. Or so I'm told.

Anyway, I heard "Never Gonna Give You Up" (yes, the Rickroll song) playing earlier today, and finally made the connection. I've heard the song before. T'was in Chrono Trigger.

Robo Rickrolled everyone years before it became a meme.

And yes, that link does show the video, so it's not like I'm trying to sneak a Rickroll on people. But it couples it with Robo's theme.

I knew when I first played Chrono Trigger that the song sounded familiar; then I finally realized it.

I imagine I'm not the first one here to see it, but I thought I'd put it out there anyway. Meh/Worried

1up.com actually had an article about that following the release of the DS game. They interviewed the game's composer, but it turned out he had never heard of Rick Astley.
