Ten Fun Things To Do In GTA IV If You're Stark Raving Mad

First of all, for these you will need to know some cheat codes.

GTA-555-0100 (Full Weapons, Health, Armor)
COP-555-0100 (Wanted Level = 0)
FLY-555-0100 (Spawn Helicopter)
MBK-555-0150 (Spawn Motorcycle)
WET-555-0100 (Spawn Speed Boat)

Enter these cheat codes on your cell phone like you were dialing a random number. Also before all of these, you will probably need to use the GTA cheat.

10. Let's Play Pirate!

Spawn a speed boat and sail through the harbor and rivers, taking down every other vessel you see. I like the RPG myself, but to each his own.

9. Dukes Hospital Shootout.

Go into the Hospital in Dukes, and start slaughtering a few people until the cops come. Then get in the back room and see how long you can hold off the feds.

8. Crazy Motorcycle Jump

Go to the Airport. Spawn a Motorcycle at the end of the airport runway. Ride your bike at top speed down the runway towards the shore (you may need to avoid an on-coming plane). On the left-most runway there is a ramp at the end of the runway. See how far you can make it. Having trouble? Try effectively timing a grenade to get a little more bang for your buck (no pun intended).

7. Worst Date Ever.

Pick up a girlfriend and spawn a helicopter. Get them in and then fly to the top of the tallest building you can find. There are a couple of variations:

1. Leave them stranded on the roof.
2. Eject from the helicopter in time to land semi-safely on the building but watch in horror as your lover flies over the edge into the abyss.
3. Get her to join you in #2.


6. Do It Yourself Terrorism.

Drive down any road at top speed with a grenade in your hand... and don't let go. See who you land beside. This works doubly well if you're on a motorcycle.


5. ATM Stalker.

Find the nearest ATM, wait for somebody to come on by and make a withdrawal. Stalk them for a moment and then kill them! (This is a great way to earn money early on).


4. Suicide is Painless

Spawn a Helicopter and fly as high as you can, then eject. Watch yourself ragdolize on the geography.


3. Survival is even less Painless.

Do #4, but over water.


2. Even More Crazy Motorcycle Jump

Spawn a helicopter and fly to the top of a building with a flat roof that you can easily jump off of (I reccomend the top platform of the Get-A-Life building in Algonquin). Spawn a motorcycle, rev up to top speed and jump over the edge. If you position your bike just right, you can survive this fall with just some slight armor damage!!!


1. City-Wide Death Mayhem.

Follow your instinct on this one.

one time when i was at a friend's place playing this, we tried rocket launcher jumping. also, try picking off individuals from quite far away with only a rocket launcher. its harder than it sounds.

I'm fond of just spawning a tank and driving around.

...and then MAKING ANY ASSHOLE IN A CAR BEHIND MY TANK FEEL THE BURN FROM A BLAST FROM THE TANK WHEN THEY HONK AT ME >:O

...yeah, it makes for a good stress relief. We need a HARDCORE >:O emote. But no, seriously, I love the tank cheat. Just spawn a tank, drive around, and the moment some jerk behind you starts honking at you, turn the turret and SHOOT THEM. It's pretty funny to watch their car EXPLODE and you get two cop stars. But that's what the no cops cheat is for.

Well my friend Sam loved San Andreas because he would do what he tactfully named "re-enacting 9-11". He would get in a plane, w/ a parachute and fly the plane into the nearest tall building he could find... but bail out at the last second.

And that's a sucky thing about GTA IV. No parachutes. No sky-diving! That was sooo much fun!

San Andreas just simply had the most to do. Sure GTA IV let you sit on your couch and watch TV and go on the internet... San Andreas had actual stuff to do! You could go to a gym and workout (the stat system I think was an amazing difference in the fun in gameplay), ride a bike and do tricks, go to casinos (if memory serves), rent/steal a plane and go sky-diving. Summon a hydra to rain burning death on society, plus with the cool XBOX feature you could have your own music play on the radio (though I think that's the case with each GTA).

Plus the environments in San Andreas, despite being lower quality graphics, were bright, colorful and interesting. Urban sprawl, suburban sprawl, forests, mountains, deserts, the open ocean... GTA IV had ghetto, slightly bigger ghetto, industrial ghetto and manhattan.


Point is San Andreas inspired creativity, self-starting open-ended gameplay with a high factor of exploration. GTA IV wanted to distract you from how little there was to do by having you sit on your imported FOB ass!

I still think San Andreas and Vice City are collectively the two best games in the series (of course that's because I love VCPR )
