I wrote this story for a class many years ago. What class, I'm not sure. What grade? That escapes me. All I know is, I got an 85 on it- and see if you can't figure out what it's about.

Escape From Sprinwood

By Robert Martin

The felon sat in the courtroom, a light smirk upon his face. He looked to the judge, as his lawyer called for the mistrial.
The judge sat back, and listened. After he was done, the judge looked to the defendnt, and then then to the stnned people who watched.
"In all my years," he said, "I've never seen such a thing. We all know he is a dirty, filthy child killer. But.. his attorney is right. There was a mis-signed search warrant. Fred Krueger... you are free to go. You've been acquited on all charges."
A mother stood up, and cried out, "He killed my baby! You can't let him go! He's a murderer!"
"I'm sorry," the judge said, as the killer left the courtroom. His lawyer pulled him off to the side. "Please, practice temperance while you're out here... you need to gather you things and leave town immediately, Fred."
"I'll do what I want, when I want." Ge slowly stepped away, and looked back to him. "I am a free man, afterall."
"Yoy're the benefactor of a mistake. You life was spared for God knows why. We all know you killed those kids,"
"Does it matter now. I'm free." He turned and began to wwalk, as he stopped and looked back. He turned away, and walked off.
Later that day a meeting was called, where all the towns people sat in the town hall, as sheriff Thompson walked to the podium.
"This man stole our children, plenchered each and every one of them... it is imperative we do the same to him."
The crowd erupted into a large embrace of his words, as they left, and headed to the other side of town.
A small, shanty shack, Fred sat, watching a contrite television set, which bare gave off any picture. He listened to Hamlet's Solioquy, as a large eruption of screams and cheers came from outside. He saw the mob coming towards his hideout, as he backed up, the bombarded the shack with moltov cocktails, as he screamed as the fire surrounded him.
The towns people watched as the shack in which the murderer was in slowly dissipated in the burning hell fire, along with the murderer. But, as we all know, evil never truly dies.

(Reading this after so many years, I realize there's alot more I could've done with this... I intend to work on it again, but I thought I share it with those of you who were interested)
