Say, does anybody know how I can turn a .zip file into multiple smaller .zip files? I want to break the new "hopefully bug free" Beta of TE:A into reasonable download sizes (I'm hoping something around 50 MB). You'd have to download the beta in parts, but the download times would be much faster. I've heard of self-extracting zips, of course, but I'm not sure how to make one. _________________ Support me on Patreon!

WinRar. If you have WinRar, it can be done easily.
- Since you would most likely have a folder for TE:A, right click on it.
- Click on the option of "Add to archive..."
- You can do this as a .rar or a .zip, either one works. Leave the option alone for compression method, but under that is the option to "Split to volumes, bytes". The drop down box gives you a few options to use. When I use this for larger files, I usually use the 98,078k - ZIP-100 option, and change numbers around at my discretion (usually adding a 2 to the front of that if I'm zipping and sending a Touhou game which tend to be 400mb+ )
Using this option splits the .rar (or .zip, I would presume. I usually use .rar) into parts: part01, part02, and so on. In order to unzip the files, you need to have them all downloaded (obviously, hur hur 8D), select them all at once, and then right click+extract items (to wherever). If you don't, the files get corrupted and unusable.
As for using WinZip...
- Right click+Add to Archive...
- At the "Add" prompt, use the drop down box under "Split ZIP file." Selecting "Other size" gives you two boxes underneath for a numerical size and a drop down menu for KB or MB. Obviously you'd want MB.
Since I've never used WinZip's method before, I would assume it would give you .zip.part1 or whatnot, and that you need them altogether like the .rar's to unzip.
Hope that helped! _________________
