Incorrect, for several reasons.

First, no religion claims to be the correct one because of what building they preach it in. I've heard of Catholics defending their beliefs as correct because Jesus was the son of God, not because they have a couple of big, awesome churches in one part of the world (which they've probably never seen).

Second, any religion is based entirely on faith. There's nothing objective about it at all. Catholics have big churches, which is an objective fact; but it has no bearing on their teachings, which renders it irrelevant.

And finally, Catholics' word weighs more to you for one reason; because you're Catholic. A follower of any other faith will think your word doesn't compare to theirs. But we're not living in Roman times any more; bigger, wealthier and more popular doesn't equate to correct.

I know, I know. but you can't compare teachings or belief. and if you look in any other matter in the world, then bigger, wealthier and more popular equates correct most of the times Very Happy not that that is a good thing in all cases, though.

And that is a very ignorant belief. Just because someone has money does not make them any better (or worse, for that matter) than anyone else. Better off? Yes. Better people? Not necessarily.

So, by your account, since like 90% of the richest people in Hollywood are part of Scientology, does that then not make them better, if not more correct, than Catholics? Especially considering Scientology was invented by an author for the sole purpose of making money. But I do guess money makes everything right... right?

naah. money ain't important. I'm linking this more to cultural achievements like architecture, laws, fashion, art, traditions or historiography. the latter might me the most important, since the catholic churches archieves provide the dates of foundings of towns and family history in europe. all my 400 year old family tree or the 850-years celebration of my hometown base on these.

Psychokind, if it helps, I totally understand the point you're trying to make. It's cynical and arbitrary, but I got it. Cool Guy

Very Happy never! they have some great wonders, and especially in china there's a lot of whatever religion that is spread across the country. but christians shaped europe. just look at leonardos dome, and it will shatter everything else by its own.

Except that Buddhists have been around longer and had a bigger effect on Asia. Islam is in the same boat for the Middle East.

Cultural significance doesn't really have anything to do with the validity of a religion, though.
