Anyone whose played this game will remember the pain of having to go back after getting the Zantetsu Sword to kill the metal enemies left over from the previous levels.

So, I killed the metal scorpions in the first level of the Fire Shrine in Greenwood, releasing a blue jewel. I noticed that if you speak to her, she gives you EXP- but only one EXP point. However, you can talk to her again and again, and she'll continually give out only one EXP, presumably infinitely.

I wonder what the big idea was from the programmers to do this. It's like the single GEM in the chest on the sunken ship... anyone else come across this? Just thought I'd throw it out there...

My first thought is programming mistake. Having had 2 programming courses (one of which I had to redo -.-), I know how easily things go wrong. It's probably one single line of code missing.

But since there's a 1 gem glitch as well, it seems less likely that it's a mistake. I cannot fathom why they are included in the game...

The 1EXP is probably intentional. It's like, you're really gonna sit there and level-up 1EXP per 5-8 Seconds? Even with a Turbo on overnight, it would take DAYS. Maybe longer.

It is strange that they put that in, but I think it was intentional. Not that it really matters. Someone would have to be REALLY lazy to level up 1 exp at a time, with a turbo controller or whatever, rather than going out and killing enemies.
