Great to see you Mr. Boxxleman, man of the year... decade... this millennium. It is great to see you, but the real question is, what are the chances RPGLunatic posts in this thread? _________________

This place still exists?? Holy shit it's like a fever dream. I was 15 years old when these boards were active. Wild to see so many familiar names. Just need Terraknux and Tiga to swing through.
Hope everyone is doing well in their old(er) age. I do wish the OLD OG forums were still around. I think I was already on my way out by the time boxxle gave us these objectively sexier boards to post on. Not as much history to look back on but still pretty wild.
Much love and all the best to you all. We existed before the internet turned to shit. Before people only posted for clout. Before bots. Before social media. Just a bunch of nerds with similar interests getting together. Limewire and AIM running in the background at all times. You know what's up 😆 |

I miss AIM |
First off, what up Kale? Good to see you still kickin' around.
Second, yeah, I lowkey miss AIM and MSN. It's a common sentiment, but the internet used to be more of a spectacle, more magical, and honestly it even felt more functional in the day before social media became this black hole absorbing everything.
Gimme Windows Media Player, a Messenger (AIM,MSN or even YIM for the forsaken ones), Limewire and the internet, a program we load up and have to actually find sites like this.
I miss the old RPG Maker days too. Need to get a functioning old Pentium I with Windows XP on it! _________________ Current Avatar commissioned work by Seiken Arts.

Oh man I’d almost forgotten about RPGMaker. I made so many small projects in that, it was so much fun.
Also was talking to my karate instructor on Thursday about Limewire, and he only remembers hearing about it as some relic from the before times. Definitely felt a little old… Limewire was how I discovered my taste in music. _________________
