[SPECIAL] Christmas Punch-Up

A PM was sent to you early yesterday morning. It contained the following:

RP Punch-Up Staff wrote:

Greetings! I hope the holidays are finding you well! You have been cordially invited to participate in a Punch-Up at Glacial Point, TerraEarth's northern-most point and site of one of the Moon Tribe Viewing Tables. The battle that will occur here will be a battle not only against enemy combatants but also against the forces of nature, as freezing temperatures and blizzard conditions can lead to death as quickly as a blade. If you are agreeable, a private airship will be picking all contestants up and the battle shall begin, extending through the winter months.

Jason Tandro stands at the Landing Strip wearing a thick parka. The snow beats down on him and the winds tear through his jacket like a knife.

"Damn," he mutters to himself. "I hope the new arrivals get here soon!"

[EverPhoenix]

*EverPhoenix shows up in a santa hat and throws a snowball at Jason, hitting him in the back of the head*

SURPRISE!

[Mantaray]

*attempts to throw a snowball at everpheonix and jason but slips and rolls down hill*

NOOOOOO!!!

*giant snowball starts to form*

hey! watch out! look!

Jason takes cover behind a snowman and grabs a shovel. He digs into the snowfield ground and gets a large amount of the powder on his shovel. He catapults it towards EverPhoenix, although with the high winds, he gets caught in most of the backblast.

"Damn it!" Jason coughs.

[EverPhoenix]

*begins building a wall out of snow, occasionally throwing large snowballs at the snowman shielding Jason*

Moves over to the landing strip garage while dodging the pelts of snow from EverPhoenix. He pulls out a sled and slides down the hill after sora-mage.

[EverPhoenix]

*dives at Jason's sled, missing and sliding oh-so-painfully down the snowy slope*

*Everphoenix lands at the foot of the hill and looks up to see an unknown man in a thick winter coat. He reaches down his gloved hand and helps Everphoenix up*

"Ummm... Thanks, but who are you?"

"Mmmmmffffmmphffbbmm."

"...huh?"

*The man pulls back his hood to reveal a very disgruntled Tay*

"I said I'm effing freezing! Dammit Jason, why are we on a snowy mountain!?"

*Tay runs at Jason, snowball in hand*

[Jason Tandro]

"I just wanted to spread some Yuletide cheer, jackass!" Jason shouts, lifting up his sled like as shield as tay's snowballs pelt him.

Jason looks down at a huddled mass on the ground.

"I think sora-mage has frostbite," he calls back.

*Tay stops the barrage of snowballs at Jason to consider how much fun the RP would be with one less member so soon. The answer: not very*

"Well, I could try a Fire spell to warm him up."

*Tay then holds out his hand and attempts to summon a small flame*

"Fire."

*A red flame appears, but is immediately distinguished by the mountain wind*

"Fire!"

*A deep crimson flame appears, but before Tay can make it over to sora-mage, the flame extinguishes again*

"FIRE!!!"

*A blazing hot flame engulfs Tay's hand without burning it, but as Tay walks forward, the flame turns blue and becomes ice.*

*Tay looks down at his frozen hand with contempt.*

"SCREW THIS! FIRE DOMINANCE!!"

*A blazing red aura appears around Tay, who looks at Jason with a rather pleased expression.*

"See? Now the cold isn't so bad. Let's see what can be done about sora-mage."

*As Tay steps forward, he gets a strange sinking sensation. He looks at Jason, bewildered.*

"Are you getting taller?"

*The heat radiating from Tay's Fire-coated being melts the snow and ice beneath his feet at a rapid rate. As he falls, the sides of the hole freeze rapidly into solid ice. Finally he lands on what appears to be a rock-like surface. The cold air and the shock of landing cause Tay to lose his Fire Dominance. Tay is exhausted, but otherwise unharmed. Looking forward, Tay sees a vast and maze-like cavern. He looks back up at Jason.*

"I guess this means I'll meet you at the top! Wish me luck!"

Tay can not cast elemental spells for five posts

Jason looks down at tay and shrugs.

"Okay, then buddy. Head north and you'll be at the Glacial Point Facility. I'm gonna drag sora-mage and EverPhoenix over there to warm up a tad!" Jason shouted back.

With that, Jason grabbed sora-mage's hand and began dragging him towards the facility.

"You can still fight me if you want EverPhoenix, but let's make sure sora-mage is okay first. Where the hell are all the other contestants?!" Jason curses.

[Mantaray]

Sora-mage regains conciousness and drags sluggishly behind Jason.

"C-c-colddddd."

She looks behind her and sees tay attempt to break free from the ice.

"Take your time! "

Sora begins to count the next posts before anyone else shows up. And at the same time, fights the temptation to throw a snowball at the target down below.

"hey, it is quite cold here. i didnt notice. this *insert item of clothing i only just noticed //FUR COAT* really protects me from cold."

*walks up the hill after Jason*

on second thoughts, tay could probably use some company. and not like its a race or anything

*jumps down the hole, careful not to land on tay*

*pulls out a fire pike from a magic satchel* HAMMERSPACE, FOOLS!

*proceeds to explore the cavern*

"Typical woman, making the man do all the work," Jason grunts as he lifts sora-mage onto his back and begins to hike across the snowfield.

They reach the facility and Jason opens the door. The entrance hall has a roaring fire, an elegantly decorated christmas tree, and some sofas.

"Okay... you warm up here. I'm gonna go check on the other two," Jason sighs.
