OoT Overrated?

I agree, Ocarina of Time is the most overrated game of all "Time". A Link to the Past was better in my opinion (just imagine a Dark World in 3D... Would be superb). I'm not saying it isn't great however.

Well, you have to see this by comparison. The step from 2D to 3D super-giant-world-live-action was just unbelievable for a non-playstation user. And until now I never saw a real-time RPG I could compare to Oot on playstation. Of course, Oot can't compete with RPG's like Chrono Cross or Xenogears for example, but these are just completely different types of games.

It was hyped, but that was because nobody believed in such a great assembly of such an old game-series. You sat in front of the TV after playing disappointing cute-gay-nintendo games on N64, and just played Lttp a year before when suddenly you were sitting on your Horse, swinging a gigantic Claymore against really big and evil skeletons in fucking dark dungeons with this always serious-business-looking-Link... This was so delivering, Oot was the proof that it is possible to create good RPG's in 3D. I think that's what hyped the game, and still makes people like me declare it the best zelda, despite the fact that it is not

Alundra > A Link to the Past & Soul Blazer saga > Other A-RPGs

Yeah it was cool as Hyrule look in the future at first time you visit.

To sad the all the dark atmosphere go away
