Against several guns, no. But in a one on one battle, all a ninja would need to do is get within striking range. Close range, a sword beats a gun, but only if you're quick with your blade. With a fair amount of agility, it's a safe bet that a ninja could dodge a pirate's bullets, especially considering that these aren't modern guns we're talking about.

Well sure. But there's also that pesky "getting in range" thing. If you aren't in range and you get unlucky enough to get shot, well then you're screwed.

Plus, pirates didn't need that stealth crap, they just went and did what they needed to do, killed people, and that was that. Which makes them cooler. To hell with trying to sneak up and chance getting caught, they just WENT AND DID IT.

They can if they have swords sufficiently large (and can wield them skillfully and quickly enough) in order to block the pirate's limited number of shots. Very Happy

I am assuming that the comparison is on an equal footing - 1 pirate against 1 ninja, right? Smile
