I used to play the recorder, back in primary school....does that count? 
(Actually, learning the recorder seems to be a common thing for most primary school aged children in England, for some reason....I suppose it gives them something to do at home; as most primary schools don't give homework to the kids) |

it seems to be the thing for junior primary kids to do here. i never did that, i moved onto the guitar as soon as they'd let me. not that that counts for much, school guitar tutoring is about equal to learning one crappy song per year.

Most grade schools use recorders, even here in the US. I never did, but I do remember having to learn the basics of the piano in 6th grade.
