Definitely getting one, but perhaps not immediately at launch... It will have to wait until either I've beaten more of my gaming backlog, or for when something I truly want for it finally comes out. i.e. Megaman Legends 3!!!! _________________ Overwhelmed with gestalt possibilities... |

Hey. I got my own 3DS and a 3DS game (Asphalt 3D), so you can ask any questions I can answer based on my new experiences with 3DS. Any questions? _________________

Is it really as easy to disrupt the 3D image as some people say? I've heard (or read) that unless you have very steady hands, it can be difficult to keep the thing steady so the 3D appears. _________________

How are the graphics? I've never owned a Gameboy, but I've considering purchasing this, especially since I read there will be a Resident Evil 3DS coming out. Is it worth the price tag? _________________ "...at first it's fine and you think you have a dark side – it's exciting – and then you realise the dark side wins every time if you decide to indulge in it. Hardy unless you are riding on tough travel. I found that it isn't issue to me because I like to sit down on my personal recliner and set my arms on my lap to keep the 3D image steady and comfort. _________________

It is worthy to pay the price. 3D, new control and camera features are something I like most about 3DS. Check out the Asphalt 3D if you like to do some races. Zelda OoT 3D will be my next 3DS game.
As for graphics, 3DS is nearly close to PSP with HD in 3D style. I can't tell how much apart it was from previous DS consoles. I made a big leap from DS lite to 3DS. I have made a right decision on waiting for new generation. _________________

Graphically this is what each nintendo handheld has been similar to.
GB = Nintendo
GBA = SNES
DS = N64
3DS = Wii
Very big jump graphically from the DS to 3DS, one of the biggest I have seen in one hardware change. _________________

Derp necro-post, but the 3ds is one big dissapointment. Esspecially with the regionlock. Being stuck in the EU or AU will serverly cripple the ammount of games we can play. Every game I actually WANT the 3ds only has a US release with the exception of 2 remakes I already own 3 times...
Nintendo has dissapointed me yet again after the metroid rape and unless some titles get and EU date it will be the first nintendo console I refuse to buy _________________ Gehaktbal, Frikandel, Bamihap

All the launch title games were completely uninteresting to me, and the upcoming first-party titles are all games I played on the N64 the first time they came out.
Hate to say it but this is one party I'm not attending.
(Sucks too, I am such an old-school Nintendo fanboy.)
And what's worse is that the bad taste the 3DS's launch leaves in my mouth is affecting my interest in Project Cafe. In other words, "Meh..."
Gaming is all about the software. The games are king. It doesn't matter to me how BA your hardware is if there is nothing fun to play on it... and Nintendo just hasn't wowed me with a first-party title since Metroid Prime. _________________ My Crystalis Fan Site - www.crystalis.info |

To be fair, there wasn't too much worth playing when the original DS came out. A couple of gems, but quite a bit of mediocrity.
Once developers really learned what they were doing, things got better. I'm willing to give it some time before I make a call on it. _________________

isnt Ocarina of Time coming out soon?
that's almost reason enough for me to get a 3DS. that, and it looks really fun and makes pokemon ds games more awesome-looking. _________________

Nintendo didnt make Metroid Prime, Retro Studios did. In fact at they are making better games then Nintendo is at the moment (there last being Donkey Kong Country Returns, which was amazing). _________________

I know. That would be the irony of the whole situation.
I sold my Wii long before Donkey Kong Country Returns came out, but a few minutes on a demo station was enough for me. Retro Studios is good, but they aren't Rare. _________________ My Crystalis Fan Site - www.crystalis.info |

No, Retro actually has talent. (OH SNAP!)
Joking aside, I couldn't play DKCR. It kept reminding me of the first two DKC games and how it wasn't them. It's a good game, but all the little quirks that were put in to remind everyone of DKC1 really needed to be TAKEN OUT. It's good enough to stand on its own merits.
ON TOPIC, systems almost never have good games right out of the gate. I'm okay with that. There's a new 3D Mario and a new Mario Kart out by the end of the year and a new Kingdom Hearts out by next summer.
I can forgive the existence of Zelda, Star Fox, Metal Gear, and Resident Evil remakes simply because of all the original games on their way. _________________
