Especially the background animations during the battles ... hell never seen so many colors in a SNES game before xD.
The battle-system is quite straight-forward like in most earlier final fantasy games ... I liked how the game skips battles you can't lose anyways ^^.

Get Grandia, Valkyrie Profile and Tales of Eternia on the PS1. Not sure about PC, but I heard that System Shock 2 is a lot of fun.
