just a minor nitpick, and this is probably due to the engine and not you, but using enter as the confirm button is pretty awkward (probably cause I'm using a laptop), but so far it's a great game. Integral soundtrack is awesome as well.

@Freedan: Once you get the warning and know that the cat is a signal for a "huge event", the warning won't reappear. This was designed to stop irritated gamers from having to skip through this on their third, fourth, fifth time trying to tackle the boss.

@arkisdabomb: Yeah, I'm not sure of any method of altering that. However if you have an XBOX360 controller, you can plug it into the laptop and use that as the controller. The button assignments are available on absolute-support.webs.com

But the cat won't fall in the water to trigger the fight. After getting the warning the first time, checking out the cat again made it fall in. Right now, all I get is "the cat is fishing too?".

Ah! Did you get rid of the Southerta Swordfish and Mu Piranha? You must have one of each in your inventory to get Riverson to appear.

Ah, that'd be it, then. The first time, I fished on both sides, and had one of each. Since then, I've sold all my fish.

Ok, I'll try that next time I boot the game up.

I don't use the enter button. I use Z. Z and X can be used for confirm and cancel. I found that out when I was having a I'M PLAYING TOUHOU moment and hit those instead of enter/esc.
