Usually it's because of a fatal flaw that nobody noticed until it's too late. Very Happy

Or that just noone wanted to see. It's like with todays games. All just see the beautiful graphix. They say: Yeah the game is shit, but look at how realistic it looks!. I don't care if it's a bunch of pixels, 2 triangels or a 300 Million Polygon Model jumping in front of my sight as long as the rest suits my needs.

The whole emo thing just is somewhat group pressure related. Some are emo because all of their group are. And other get emo because they can't find a clique that accepts em ...

Oh amen to that! I'm tired of developers cranking out shit games and then selling it because it's eye-candy. Fuck graphics, I play games because of their gameplay, everything else is just a compliment to that.

Rock on, Joanie. That's how I've been with games for a while. One of my friends mentioned to me that the games on the 360 look so awesome, and I told him my 16-bit games on my snes interest me more than new-gen gaming systems and their graphics. Very Happy Because honestly, I would rather replay Chrono Trigger or Mario RPG over and over again than some games. Then again, I like sprite-based games more or less. XD

nah I never was into all the Mario&Co stuff ... but the RPG classics are a sure rock everytime I like to play something that offers more than neat graphics. Besides the graphics of the SNES and PSX were'nt that bad either.

It just goes to prove that it's not the power of the tool, but how you use it. Laughing

Honestly though, Legend of Legaia looked like shit graphically, but I enjoyed it, why? Because the arrow combo system is fucking awesome and fun to play with, that and the difficulty is a real challenge for once. Very Happy

um the earlier FF-parts allways required me to force myself playing them longer then 30mins coz of the bad graphics and the pinky-punky tunes ... but the story was more than worth the eye-aches.

Fallout for the PC is another great and awesome game without fantastic graphics ... but the game just rockz so hard that you hardly notice how bad the graphic actually is ^^.

nah never liked it ... it was a bit too ... dunno ... I just didn't like it XD.

Dark Project 1 was fantastic too and back when it came out it was uber-innovative too (founded a whole new genre just be it's existence) ^^.

If we didn't have the snes rpg's, we wouldn't have the ones we have today, you know. And really, you can't say that the opera part of FF6 was horrible with the music. The music for that part is one of the most memorable.

Yeah sry FFVI is an exception, but the former ones had no good music with em, but as I told ya I play games no matter how bad they're graphic- or music-wise coz I'm much more interested in other features they might offer.

FF4 is the shit, yo. Golbez and Kain and Cecil...

Honestly, the snes-generation games are better than most games today. Razz
