Tower Of Babel Red Jewel

When I was twelve or so and first played through the game, I definitely did not get all the Red Jewels...
But my question is:
Did you ever go through the Tower and NOT grab the Red Jewel in the flute altar?
I did this once and I kicked myself for many days...

By the way, this is so cool... A somewhat active forum for Gaia fans...

Collecting all the red jewels except for the one in the Tower of Babel, (if you forget to get it), can be a BIG mistake if you're trying to head to Gem's Mansion. Think about it, collecting all the red jewels except for the one in the flute box, can't transport you to Gem's Mansion.

If you don't collect all of the red jewels, I can't tell whether it's bad or not that Solid Arm MUST be defeated. Everytime, I would beat this game, I would always get the red jewel in the Tower of Babel, and of course, all the other ones.

You wouldn't want to take any risks not trying to get it if you go up a few floors in the tower.

Yeah... I mean, I did it on my first playthrough I think... It was terrible
Although I hate Solid Arm... He's such a jerk...
