How was your first prom?

Well, tonight is my first night for prom. I'm quite nervous, but I already have a tux with me, and tonight will hopefully be fun.

Anyway, I thought I'd ask: How was your first prom?

In Austria, we don't have "proms". But we have 1 "dance" per year, and my first one was quite nice, I was not scared at all.

I only went to one school dance ever, which just happened to be my Senior Prom, and it was okay. And by okay, I of course mean it completely sucked, but I did get one good laugh out of it. I jumped out in the middle of the croud and started doing the Saturday Night Fever dance during one of the disco songs. Everyone had a good laugh, and afterwords people told me that was the best part of the whole night. I felt special.

Want to know the best part of a prom? Getting in the middle of two girls, both of the girls grabbing onto you.

That happened to me, and GOSH it felt good.

yeah it is quite a good feeling ay

and my first prom... well in aust they call em formals. and mine was just downright depressing. mainly coz i couldnt bring myself to ask a certain girl to go with me. turns out no one else bothered. *sigh*

second one i went to was good fun though. despite my lack of serious attempts at dancing.

hmm... hw to describe.. a formal get-together of what is usually the highest 2 year levels at a school, involving the usual 'sophisticated party' behaviour. ie dancing, perhaps some light drinking, social interaction, etc..

basically a ball, but for highschool kids
