Well from a game standpoint:

Blazer beat the Solid Arm as the first boss of the game... in a relatively easy match.

Will had to use all the herbs he had and he still had trouble beating him.

That should give you an idea...

I said Ark because he is the strongest guys. he could use a lot of magic rings and have strong melle atacks.

i havn't played soul blazer or terranigma. but judging by what everyone says about ark...

then again, freedan has dark friar, since its so huge and shoots across the screen and can split into four balls of energy!! and he can make earthquakes

shadow... melts... and he's on fire. so i guess he burns everything he touches.

blazer... i dont know anything about him.

will is psychic yeah sure... he can spin... break walls..

Blazer has awesome armor, weapons, and stuff.
He goes around and fires off awesome magic stuff. He can kill the already dead, he can cause fire to sprout from the ground, he can create tornados, he can cause mines to sprout out of nothingness... he can cause lightning to strike from above by touching a rock... He can tell a volcano not to spew volcanic ash on him... and it won't.
He can strut proudfully underwater, cut tanks in half, kill ghosts with his sword... Fly airships, kill the devil, oh.. and he can walk in space and shoot fire from his sword. In Space.

Oh, and he's immortal and infinitely reincarnates.

I have to say Freedan is the most aesthetically appealing of these warriors. Something about a gigantic sword that breathes fire makes the other contestants look a little weak.

I'd still say Ark though.
