Yeah the game is still in production. My laptop fell of my desk about 1 1/2 months ago. I am going to call Acer up today to see if I can get it fixed thats why the game has been on hold. Crying or Very sad

But at the worst I will just buy a new computer and stick the hard drive into it to get the game finished.

So have no fear I haven't jumped ship. Smile

Thanks heaps for that. Its this type of Encouragement that makes people finish games.

Great news: I went to Acer on 1/10/08 and they said it will take 5 days to fix. Can't wait.

Ähm, generelly, i say yes (im working myself on a second part of Terra), but i dont like the idea of the WC III Engine... for my part, i would like to have it in 2D and with the original grafics... well, its my opinion, but i wish you all the best for your game...

Fair enough every one is entitled to their own opinon. Actualy a lot of the models in this game use the 2d sprites from the origional snes game.

That is the 3d model has the 2d sprite texture on it so its the same just 3d. Very Happy

Thanks for the support tho is much appreciated.

@psychokind: Yeah, your totally right... but i dont want to steal the show from ergz...

Well, i have got a question to your game: How can i make it playable with WC3? Just copying it into the Scenario-Folder of WCIII doesnt makes it... can you please give me instruction how to?

i can help with that.

copy it into the Maps folder
when in warcraft 3, go to Custom Game. navigate to where you put the map using the top-left window, select it and enjoy.

I always thought terranigma 2 would be a lot cooler if it began on the newly founded surface world... and beruga was revived. And then instead you work your way towards the underworld rather than out of it again.

Still the demo had promise, models were good, but make sure your cinematics are skippable! Razz

To do that, have a trigger like this

Code:
Event
A cinematic is cancelled

Condition
Cinematic is playing equal to true (a boolean variable that is on while cinematics are on)

Action
Trigger - remove (cinematic triggers being used) from trigger queue, youll need to do this for cinematic triggers each one
Trigger - run (end of cinematic) trigger

If that makes sense...

I make wc3 maps like everphoenix does and can give advice whenever needed.

Cool I will use that thanks heaps. Cool Guy

By the way not to spoil the story but some of what you say happend as to what you said happens not telling Shifty . When the games done you will find out Plotting

As for the advice thanks heaps that will come in handy. Smile

QUESTION - NEED SOME ADVICE FOR THE GAME - ALL MEMBERS CAN COMMENT!

I have started building some towers but my question is should the inside tower rooms be like an arial view like in the origional Terranigma or should it be more zoomed in like in ZELDA N64 version.

Actualy what I will do is give some screen shots of both views and you guys & girls can decide.

ps laptop is fixed! Very Happy

id say definitely use the birds-eye view like in terranigma.
unusual cameras in warcraft get VERY annoying incredibly fast, unless youve made your gameplay around it. (slow or custom-triggered enemies, keyboard movement, etc)
and just as warning, keyboard movement (if youre even considering it) does take a fair bit of trial and error, and im yet to see any unusual movement system that actually works as intended and looks good.

Grrr he does too walk! If you need any help with arrow based movement I might suggest going to the site 'the hive workshop'. They're a great site for mapmaking and advice, not to mention a great source for custom models and skins!
