That's cause Halo sucks. Anytime I hear anything about the X-Box, what comes next? That's right, the talk about how WONDERFUL and potentially orgasmic Halo can be.

I really don't give a flying rat's tail, if you wanna talk Halo then do so, but whenever that God-awful system comes up in conversation, don't start talking about Halo. Mad

Same with Dead or Alive Beach Volleyball... that game was invented for guys to cream themselves over pixelated chicks in non-existant bikini's cause they can't go out and meet a real girl.... ><!!!!!!

Halo comes up all the time because that's the only real saving grace of the entire system. Ask any X-Box owner to list the best game, you'll get "Halo" (or maybe "Halo 2") 9 times out of 10.

agreed ... the only game that makes an xbox even decent is halo ... the d-pad sucks for fighting games, so even though its got 1 or two i don't mind ... ps2 has it anyways with a much more fighting game friendly controller ... and from what i heard halo 2 even sucks compared to the first ... so if you bought an xbox ... it would be for one game ...

im sorta interested in gamecube now though ... i only just realised its $100 or so here Banging Head

... wouldn't mind getting a go at windwaker, ff:cc, the new zelda when it comes out ... prob some other crap i can't think of ... and a little while ago i think i saw a zelda thing for gamecube where you get OoT and majora's mask? ... i can't remember though Neutral

... but if it were true i think it'd be worth it for OoT ... from what i've heard of Majora's it aint anywhere near as good

but when all is said and done PS2 is the best Very Happy

best games i've seen as of yet FF's, other junk, and TEKKEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ... just the most interesting ones anyway IMO so don't go nuts if you prefer something else Neutral

A cube is definitely worth getting; I find more of their games are quality. PS2 is fine, but there's not as much that grabs my interest.

A lot of people say Majora's Mask was shyte. I disagree. It wasn't as good as OoT by any stretch, but it's still a blast to play.

As for OoT and MM on the cube.... that was part of a promotional offer, I believe, where you got those 2 games and the 2 NES Zelda games on the same disc. There are a couple of rare places you can buy it, but you won't find it on a store shelf. I wish I knew where I could get it, I want it. Sad

What was I getting at....? Oh, yeah. A cube is worth the money.

I know the special disks (the OoT + Master Dungeon CD, and the NES-style games) pop up preowned at EB and sometimes GameStop for the price of a normal preowned game ($44.99 is how much they go for preowned).

I'm sure you can get them on eBay too, if you REALLY wanted them. Razz

As for the Halo crap... dear God, if I hear one more person state how WONDERFUL that game is, I'm going to strangle them.

i actually prefer farcry to halo ... and i could only play that for about 20 mins-1 hour before i got bored with it ... shooting games just aren't my thing

It is.

All it is, is a FPS game. You run around and kill people. Don't see how it's much different from games like Wolfenstein.

thats the thing ... an rpg game can be good without having great graphics ... fps need great graphics to make them any good at all ... and that doesn't solve the whole fact they they suck Very Happy

I watch it at the local "Buy-Sell-Trade" game store (the only one in town that still sells old NES/SNES/Genesis games), the guy who owns it ALWAYS tells the people who're looking to see what system they want taht they should buy the X-Box, cause Halo's on it, and I swear to God he always says "It's the BEST FPS game on the MARKET period!"
