She doesn't use Photoshop. She uses open canvas.

Indeed, Photoshop isn't well suited for drawing/painting art, it's more for graphic presentation and photomanipulation though people use it for Cel-shading, something I see all too often in the art community.

That and with plugins, you can make your stuff look flashy without any talent at all. I never used them anyways. I'm thinking of moving to Corel Painter as a friend suggested it, but I'm more used to working with limited tools.

Actually, you can use Photoshop for painting. I'm going to be doing it for my exercise in Photoshop class. It just takes a little while to get it all set up.
