Hrm I would recommend you get a torrent and go googling. I could spot heaps of them just by googling 'zelda ost' but I don't have a torrent.

I don't know where to find the original OSTs, but I recommend you to look at ZREO (Zelda Reorchestrated) webpage: http://www.zreomusic.com/index.php

However, they have few songs from the early Zelda games... Also, I recommend you Nixdorux remixes (Escape from the mountain is impressive), but I downloaded them at the now dead VGMix, and they may be hard to find.

You can easily get them in NSF (NES) and SPC (SNES) format. I have them in those formats anyway, direct rips from the roms. You can copy the music off that to a more usable format using the most basic recording applications.

Perhaps a way to go?

I used http://www.thehylia.com/soundtracks.php to download all the soundtracks in the past, but it seems to have turned into some kind of pay-by-phone thing... very unfortunate.

A quick Google pointed me here: http://www.zeldadungeon.net/Soundtracks.php . It uses a download queue and isn't very fast.. but at least it works.

normally this would be easy, all your soundtracks can be found here http://gh.ffshrine.org/soundtracks/ . but the site is down at the moment, so try it here:

Zophar's Domain has (or at least had) game rips of heaps of games, including nes and snes. you need a program that can read the files though.

fortunately, the one i use for music and stuff has available plugins and even an easy-to-use file converter:

www.khinsider.com has a HUUUUUUUUUUGE archive that might be worth checking out, it has old and new game OSTs in it all you have to do is look for them...if you can find the archive for games that have nothing to do with kingdom hearts...i trust you'll find the archive, if not i can post a more direct like for future use.

I have soundtracks to every Zelda, including the orchestrated and remixed ones, minus the following:

Link's Awakening
Oracle Series
Four Swords
Minish Cap

If you need any, perhaps I could e-mail them to you? Or if you have MSN, Yahoo, or Trillian, I can make a sharing folder.

Dude everybody and their mother knows about Galbadia Hotel!!! Very Happy

It sucks that they're down. They were the best OST site on the web, even if they made you go through hell to get one track at a time. Maybe somebody will donate some money, but it won't be my broke ass. Cool

@tay120n64: Dude, you rock. My email is listed in my profile, by all means send me whatever you have! Thanks a lot! I will repay you, somehow!

I've compiled all my Zelda music. It's roughly 3GB total.

Once I compress it into .rar I'll email it to you.
