Double post, but info on the Japanese voice actors. Be warned, it's spoilers as to who is in the movie: http://www.adventchildren.net/ff7ac/movie/cast.htm

Also, you can now preorder it at GameStop. It's currently priced at $40 USD.

And Maaya Sakamoto does a voice too...

I like her voice. Better than MANDY MOORE. God, if they get her to do the English voice, I'll kill.

Double post, but the info on the special edition of Advent Children:

Quote:
The online shop of Japanese video, music and game rental and retail chain Tsutaya is now listing the limited edition of Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children. One of the most expensive such special editions released in Japan over the last couple of years, it will carry a price tag of 29,500 yen ($274.83 USD). For reference, the suggested retail price for limited editions normally ranges from 8,800 yen ($81.98 USD) to 12,800 yen ($119.25 USD) in Japan. The movie's standard edition will go on sale for 4,800 yen ($44.72 USD). Please note that those prices refer to the DVD version of the CG movie, release details for the UMD version have yet to be announced.

The content of the limited edition's DVD will look as follows:
-Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children movie (length: 97 minutes)
-Final Fantasy VII Digest (length: 30 minutes)
-Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children Official trailer (length: 2 minutes)
-Compilation of Final Fantasy VII Trailer (length: 10 minutes)

Furthermore, this box set will ship with the following items:
-A figure set of Cloud and his motorcycle
-A special DVD featuring the following contents:
-Last Order Final Fantasy VII OVA
-Making-Of footage
-Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children Venice Film Festival trailer
-Various other Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children trailers
-A voice recording-enabled libretto replica
-A cup
-A t-shirt
-A key holder
-PlayStation One RPG Final Fantasy VII International (this four-disc set will come in a special packaging)

Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children for DVD will be available in Japan on September 14th, with a US release scheduled the same day. It remains to be seen whether the limited edition will be available outside Japan, however. Additionally, no official price has been set for the US DVD or UMD versions of the movie. EBGames has tentatively put the cost for the DVD movie at $49.99 USD, and GameStop at $29.99 USD.

I mean... DAMN. I hope all that stuff comes here. I would gladly pay $300 for all of that. Cloud on his motorcycle (the figurine "Cloud and Hardy Daytona" goes for $120 on eBay if you're lucky) would be awesome to have.

Angry Angry SPIRITS WITHIN DID NOT SUCK!

I swear to God the only reason people say that is because it [monotone]"doesn't have any Final Fantasy-ish elements in it."[/monotone] The "Final Fantasy-ish elements" being moogles and chocobos.

Chocobos didn't come around until the second NES game. Quoted from the FF Compendium:
FF Compendium wrote:
The Chocobos make their debut here; you can ride one if you find a Chocobo Forest. The Chocobo will return to its forest as soon as you get off.

Moogles didn't exist until 6 (or 3 in the US), and even then, Mog was the only playable Moogle.

Summons didn't appear until the third NES game.
FF Compendium wrote:
There is a new type of magic: Summon magic, which usually can only be gotten by defeating the monster to be summoned. During summons, the party disappears and is replaced by the monster for a quick attack. Magic no longer raises levels; you must use Bolt 2 etc.

Each Final Fantasy has its own seperate world (except for the obvious FFX/FFX-2 game, and the Final Fantasy Tactics/Tactics Advance/FFXII when it's released that is.)

Mr. Green So please. Unless you have a reason that isn't one of these reasons, please, feel free to tell me why TSW sucked.

The music was not even close to Final Fantasy, it had more of a Deep Impact feel. The dialogue sucked and was filled with cheezy liberalist innuendo, the comedy was childish and dry (though I did like the "I think we should find the nearest evaction pod" Very Happy Very Happy or something like that). The characters were very Final Fantasy and that part was especially good, but I think that the biggest dissapointment was having it set in the real world. Also not hearing the Final Fantasy Theme at the end stunk.

PS: There were "summons" in a sense, if you call the spirits summoned monsters. I'd say the overall storyline had elements of 7 and 8 (the Lifestream, Meteor and the Lunar Cry) so overall I guess it didn't suck, it just wasn't final fantasy.
