My friend said that Square-Enix was re-releasing SoulBlazer for the DS. This is a hoax, isn't it? _________________ Current Avatar commissioned work by Seiken Arts.

I haven't heard anything about that. It's very unlikely though, I honestly don't see any of the games being remade for DS, as awesome as that would be. Square-Enix is too busy with other things to remake a game made by Quintet. A Virtual Console release is likely though. We did get Actraiser, right? _________________

That's true. And I don't see why they wouldn't. Those were great games. _________________ Current Avatar commissioned work by Seiken Arts.

Unfortunately, I can't see them bothering with a port or remake. The entire trilogy is pretty obscure (I think IoG is probably the most well-known, and even that doesn't get much mention), so they probably wouldn't invest in releasing it.

Doesn't mean we can't hope, though. _________________

A quick google search and searching around on gamefaqs/ign got me nothing. So, methinks your friend is wrong. _________________

My friend said he was just yanking my chain and thought that I "knew I was messing with you."

He took a dream, dangled it in front of my face and snatched it away... just like that pizza guy who said my coupon was expired. _________________ Current Avatar commissioned work by Seiken Arts.

          I slap thy friend.

Though, SoulBlazer is one of the few games I'd love to see completely remade visually. Completely update the visual interface. Full 3D envirement with some of the graphics engines that we have now, and.. god. It'd just be orgasmic looking, along with the solidness that it was on the SNES. Keeping the levels designed the same, bosses the same, and everything. Just a complete visual interface make-over.

Imagine what the fight with Deathtoll would look like. |
