That is really odd... I just double-checked whats going on. Apparently if you enter the crystal room from the forest, then beat Arashi, the game registers Arashi being beaten but not that you've completed the quest (at least that's my guess... I'll double check my coding. )
On the plus side, psychokind, you did your job and revealed a huge bug. Good work!

Friend Mode!!! That's what's causing it. I double-checked my coding and just remembered that I did something stupid. I wanted to make Arashi appear with different dialogue options for Veteran, Friends and Recruitment parties... and I forgot to set an option for the first two!
