I haven't been too in-the-loop with video games since G4 turned stupid. BUT I did hear about that new Zelda game for the Wii. They wanted to make something ground breaking... no more of the same stuff thrown in different areas of the game. My hopes are that they realease some information on it! And that it be good. Twilight Princess wasn't exactly what I was hoping for.... ):

I'd apreciate some information on Aion, especially about the release date. but that won't happen.

A new Mario game at E3?

It's expected to be for the Wii, to help sliding sales in Japan, expected by the end of the year there. No word yet on whether it's a platformer (I doubt it) or one of them spinoff things that sell like crazy for some reason, but spinoff or no, that already puts Nintendo's E3 presentation head-and-shoulders above last year.

Not that that was much of a contest.

Welp, there's a few things on the front already so I've seen. XSEED grabbed the release rights for the remake of Lunar 1 for North America (which makes me happy) and it seems it's the Sega Saturn version of the game.

EGM was resurrected! Not exactly E3 news, but hey, deserves to be here.

PSP Go. Very Happy

and so far, that's all that really interested me.

Nintendo made me Facepalm.

Cept for Metroid/Golden Sun. (I dont give crap about mario)

But all other announcements were almost all already known or Casual crap. No fox, No F zero, No pikmin, No DK, No VC announcements, No Wiiware announcements, No Wii Zelda (not even a new trailer for choochooboy DS) Nothing on pokemon SS or HG.

Seriously Nintendo UP YOURS!

well, dont worry! it's only the beginning of it after all. we still have several more hours, even days left for them to cover nintendo again. they might not do so, but its good to have some hope!

and... i have heard unapproved rumors about a link to the past remake for the wii..

oh, crap. im all hyper now

ALttP remake? mehh dont think so its on VC. And up till now they never remade a zelda since almost every Console Zelda (cept for WW, MM and 2) is a remake on its own.

I've gotta disagree, Lenc. Even though a lot of Nintendo's conference was predicted, I'm pretty happy with what's on the way.

Mario Galaxy 2, NSMB Wii (just please don't let them turn it in to a clusterfuck), and Mario RPG 3... 3 mario games, and none of them are sports-spinoffs. Platforming and RPG goodness. Cool Guy

A new Metroid? Fantastic. Cool Guy

Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days has my interest too.

It's not everything I wanted (I notice a distinct lack of Wii Zelda and DS Castlevania), but I'm still happy with what I see (a 180-turn from last year's E3), and it's only their introductory conference. The big 3 never usually tip their entire hand at the beginning.

My problem was less what they had to show because...

THANK JESUS CHRIST I FINALLY HAVE A FIRST PARTY NINTENDO GAME TO LOOK FORWARD TOO. HOLY DUMBF***.

My problem with Nintendo today was the snooze-fest of their conference. I could have thrown up were it not for the medication of Metroid, Golden Sun, and Mario.

Sony put on a good show, but Microsoft BY FAR takes the cake. Yeah, Project Natal looks a little sketchy, but I see alot of potential. Eventually. Regardless, Microsoft showed ZERO numbers or charts and brought onstage MULTIPLE celebrities. Even the Beatles (mostly) were on stage! You may or may not care about the Beatles, and they may have acted awkward onstage, but having celebrities like that onstage is HUGE for the video game industry.

Thanks to Sony and Microsoft, I am SERIOUSLY EXCITED for the next wave of software and also for the future of the industry as a whole.

Nintendo... If you don't catch up, all you'll have left is handheld gaming.

@Lenc: About Star Fox... There won't be one. The lead designer behind SF refuses to make a Wii title, because he wants to keep the game as a space-shooter, without motion-controls. He said in an interview that Miyamoto wants to do all sorts of crazy things with Star Fox outside of that. So until he can make a proper follow-up to Star Fox 64, he says there won't be any more Star Fox.

Apparently, Final Fantasy 14 is a new MMO.

My wallet, she weeps. Sad I already play Final Fantasy 11, and then with how damn PRETTY FF14 looks, I'll be playing both, I can already foresee it.

My livejournal post on that included huge blinking "God DAMN IT" at the top. Seriously, Squeenix, why you do this?

"To be honest with you, I really wanted to announce a Zelda game for Wii at this E3. But rather than think about something to bring you to show you, we really wanted to focus on actual game development," aldus Miyamoto tijdens een behind-closed-doors sessie. Ontwikkelen gaat dus voor PR, dat is goed om te horen.

MIYAMOTO CONFIRMED NEW ZELDA WII Very Happy

and dude they could easily make a satrfox without waggle controls.. Developers should realise that there can be MULTIPLE control settings and that everyone can talor it to its taste.. and if you still not happy grab a VC/gamcube controler.

he also confirmed its about 2years away, he wants to 'announce' it next year.

Nintendo was not impressive at all, EA was more interesting then them. MS won in my books.
