lol, hence the 7 mana cost for a 4/4. 
Although, if the ability read: "During each upkeep that this card is under your control, search your library for one basic land and put it into play, untapped."
That would be badass. And a little more worth 7 mana.

Giving it power/toughness suggests that TE could be killed.

That's a neat idea, but for its mana cost, I don't know how much more land you would need.

Or, rather than giving it power and toughness, you could make it an Artifact Permanent and then have an instant called "Post" that went along with it.

wow... being capped sucks. i didnt get to bitch about this earlier.
i made a mudkip card on my home comp, it was pretty broken. but awesome.
we should make some TE cards and ill print em off and use em next time i play with my friends.
