Ah yes, Balut. It's up there with that French delicacy that makes me cry when I hear about it. Ortolan is just depressing, but I wouldn't touch Balut with a fifty foot pole either.

Well, I think reading about that has left me scarred for life now. Perhaps it would be best for me to go find a nice corner and try to suppress some memories and hope that I can never think about that again

I am SO GLAD to know I can still scar people! It's the one thing I can REALLY revel in, because it's so much fun to do. Should I bust out the link of REALLY OMG WHAT food I have? The list that includes natto? Because natto is really terrible and I will NEVER EAT IT AGAIN, the smell + taste of FERMENTED SOY BEANS is enough to make me want to vomit even now, and I'm only THINKING about it.

My question is how did this topic derail form talking about which kind of food is the most delicious to talking about the world's most disgusting delicacies. This forum will always continue to amaze me that way I guess.
