This is a full-fledged study in people freaking out over stupid stuff.

Now everybody has been five-years old and thrown at least one temper tantrum in their life. It's a great emotional release, but not the most constructive one and it makes you look like an idiot, so while there are ups and downs, very few people see temper tantrums as acceptable emotional outlets.

My brother used to get my goat right up until I was 17. I would get so damned mad because he was such an asshole (although to be fair I had some anger management issues at the time which I am still dealing with).

Now let's be clear, the last time I threw an honest to goodness "temper tantrum" was probably 11, so in the means of defining the subject here are some examples:

Test Subject: 6 year old girl
Tantrum Reason: Didn't Get McDonalds

Test Subject: Toddler
Tantrum Reason: Mother shut the Refigerator Door (Not joking!)

Test Subject: Child from a French Commercial
Tantrium Reason: Father won't buy him sweets.

Test Subject: 5-7 year old girl
Tantrum Reason: Unknown

And finally...

Test Subject: Toddler
Tantrum Reason: On Father's Birthday he dared to have a slice of his own cake (child had claimed entire cake in his own name)

Now these are all really stupid reasons to have tantrums. Anybody have any really good stories about justified... or stupid tantrums?

I don't remember the last time I had an honest to goodness tantrum. I think the last time I even got genuinely pissed off was a year ago (not counting the minor bad mood and such), and I think there was a good reason for that (involving some idiot at work, who thankfully no longer works there).
