Yep. I haven't beaten Twilight Princess, but I've already had the badass visage of Gannondorf ruined for me. Check out what I discovered on the Zelda Wiki:
"It is possible to distract Ganondorf using the fishing rod during the final battle in Twilight Princess, leaving him open to attack. When Ganon and Link duel with swords, Link can take out the fishing rod and dangle it beside Ganon's head. Ganon will watch the hook and not attack (or even move). Link can then use his sword and slice at Ganon quickly. "

It's true. Cast the line at him, and he'll turn his head for a second to follow it. Gives you enough time to get in a few cheap shots.
Several fights in the series give you some kind of cheap (or 'just for the lol') option. Using bottles in OoT to reflect his magic ball back, using the bug-catching net in LttP against Agahnim, kneeling in the corner in Zelda 2, etc.
It's just one more little bonus for people willing to try everything. _________________

I wouldn't have beaten that battle without doing that. After getting through that ridiculously hellish of a dungeon, dying is not an option anymore. _________________ Touch it and Die

We talking against the Wizzrobe in Palace 4 or against Dark Link in the Great Palace? _________________ Current Avatar commissioned work by Seiken Arts.

Dark Link.
The Wizzrobe was more fun if you kept to the center of the room anyway. _________________

Twilight Princess' fight against Ganondorf was just a plain pain in the arse.
Only slight chances to hit him/get into the actiosequence, but yet there were enough hearts n fairies around to not let you die.
I'm actually glad I already beat the game, you would've spoiled alot for me |

its fairly easy to hit him in that phase even without the sequence. just use one of the sword techniques (roll behind him and jump-spin), that hits him every 4th time or so.
the phase right before that, however... *spoiler details intentionally left out*... can go to hell, caused me so much anger and frustration _________________

Twilight princess was actually an extremely easy game, especially the final battle, almost every attack can be blocked or parried.
And the fishing rod move is a classic moment of gaming, was laughing quite hard when I discovered it (had fishing rod ina slot by accident and noticed it did this) _________________
