Parent Scares 2 Year Old With Maze Game

This idiot mom showed her two year old a screamer video. If the kid is like 8 or 9 or something, then sure, it's kinda funny. Maybe a little mean, but the kid will get over it. But at this early stage of development that can cause serious damage and is downright mean since the baby has no say in it.

Please go on Youtube and flag this video as child abuse.

do you really think this is harming a child? can't believe that, it'll forget about that anyway.

It's traumatic as shit. Stuff like this can mentally damage a child. Sure they're not beating the kid with a belt, but it's still fucked up. I'm not saying we should call the DSS, I just think this video is incredibly distasteful.

That stuff is not scary to grown adults or even to some kids, and we get startled but get over it. But to a baby who hasn't fully mentally developed, this trauma could cause later damage.

is this psychologically proved? I mean it's an infant, they can digest scary events much better than adults, especially since it's something not physical... infants can see horrible accidents without a problem in spite of adults for example.

On the one hand, I don't think it's that bad, but on the other hand, I wouldn't to that to my child...

The kid might not remember being hit with a video like this, but somewhere in their mind, it can do some damage. Of course, if a mom is stupid enough to show stuff like that to their 2 year old, can you imagine what she'll be doing when the child gets older? :/

I can just see the mother going when she's older:

"Hey honey, sorry but your dad was shot in a dark alley and then butchered."

PSYCH!

fooled you right? it was just a joke, god ... don't be so sensitive!

I think this video is another example of just how stupid people can be. Makes me wonder if maybe there should be a bit more of the whole natural selection going on in society, weeding out the people who don't bother to use common sense and such.

I watched it last night, and even though I knew the mother and toddler were watching a screamer, even I flamin' well jumped when the scream rang out, and I didn't even see the butt-ugly face that showed up on their screen.

The very first time I saw one of those screamers (in a spam email), I couldn't stop shaking for an hour and had nightmares because of it. And I was 19 at the time. Who really knows how much subconscious damage that could do to a toddler?

everybody is hoaxing little children all the time... they get along with it.
the most unnecessary thing is that the mother taped it and put it on the internet Wink

Yeah, but in different ways. :/ Ways that don't involve these kids having problems. My mom used to scare me when I was a kid (and of course now I'm getting her back for it as an adult Very Happy) just by going "Raaah!" at me when I'd come down the hallway.

And since it's turning slightly into a debate, I'm moving the thread.
