Zombie Holocaust

You're stuck in a house. This house has renewable energy, water, and food indefinitely. You are not living the high life, but you are surviving. Everywhere outside this 3 floor house (ground floor, first floor and basement) lay zombies.

In 48 hours, the house will be overtaken. Your safe haven destroyed. You will have to brave the Zombie Holocaust.

Welcome to Zombie Holocaust, the Choose Your Own Adventure style game for multiple players. Each persons story will be different. They may intersect or they may end up meeting very different fates.

First, choose your package:

Package A- Warrior
Shotgun (24 shells)
First Aid Kit

This has the best weapon in terms of power, but its not reusable. This is for the person who doesn't really care if they live, but they want to take out some of those damn zombies before they go.

Package B- Survivor
Steel Pipe
First Aid Kit
Medicine Kit
Vitamins

Not the best weapon, but its reusable and with the medicine and vitamins you will be sure to last a long time.

Package C- Hunter
Fireman's Axe
First Aid Kit
Flashlight/Lantern
Rope

This package is for the person who wants to explore. Maybe there is hope somewhere out there in that dismal world...


Next, choose your unique Gift:


Keen Senses
You are able to hear and see incredibly well, even in the dark. This makes you more alert and quicker to respond as well.

Athletic
You are strong and fast. That means you can put up a great fight... or you can run like the wind.

Intelligent
You are smarter than most. This means you can think of unorthodox solutions to problems and have knowledge that others might lack.

Religious
Just like in real life, this gift may seem useless... but miracles do seem to happen... You also carry a symbol of your faith, which does have some immediate uses.



Once you've selected both of these, your quest will begin. I will tell you a story and you choose your actions. Happy Halloween everybody.

@ Raini: Oh, my dear Raini, you can take your place as head of the pack soon enough. I don't want to tip my hand... but it's not just Zombies out there. Over the course of this "game" you'll also be able to choose to become any number of monsters: werewolves, vampires, cyborgs.

Trust me, you start as a human, but this is a big ole Halloween party and it's gonna rock!

Round 1: Shattered Sanctuary

9:00 PM

The house is dark now, save for a fire burning in the fireplace. The four men who took shelter within its walls when they came are now prepared to make their next move. A large mass of them have been huddled outside of the house for almost a day now... and with a smash a nearby window is broken by a large one of them. The men scatter into action, only sure of one thing.

This house is no longer safe.

Chicken's Turn
Origin: The House
Weapon: Fireman's Axe
Items: First Aid Kit, Flashlight/Lantern, Rope
Traits: Keen Senses

Chicken can tell that they are surrounded, and knows something the others do not... in the basement there is a boiler room which leads to the sewers. He rushes to the basement and opens the door. There is a master light switch here. It will light his path through the sewers, but also call attention to him... he does have a flashlight... but is it worth the risk?

Decision Time!
A) Turn on the lights.
B) Leave them off.
C) Find another path.

Freedan runs into the garage, where a pickup truck is. He knows this would seat all of them, but his acquaintances have run off to different areas of the house. Does he regather them and risk his own life or drive off without them? Also, there is only a small tank of gas in the truck... how far the truck would get him, he was not certain.

Decision Time!
A) Rally the men and tell them about the truck.
B) Leave without them.
C) Find another path.

EverPhoenix runs to the kitchen and tries to think. He knows about the truck in the garage AND the basement sewer route... but he also wants time to gather supplies from the house. With his friends distracting the zombies he might be able to scrounge up some extra goods... or he could be left to die.

Decision Time!
A) Search for other useful items.
B) Select a path.

Blade's Turn

Blade sets a barricade in front of the window that was shattered and lifts his shotgun. Looking out the rear window he sees only a handful of zombies. If he could shoot them out, he could begin running to the next house over, which has a car and other supplies. But if he could brave going out the front door, he might be able to push through the zombies and head to the gun store across the street, where he can pick-up some fire power. Granted there isn't much left after the massive looting, but there's bound to be something left....

Decision Time!
A) Take the back way and get a vehicle.
B) Take the front way and get some ammo and weaponry.
C) Find another path.

I'll have to hope the intelligence thing pays off.

I'll go back to the house and call the others to the truck.

Incidentally, this is an awesome idea for a game/story.

Aww thanks, Freedan. Your decision will be played as soon as the others make their choices.

Oh, now's a good time to point out this little detail. If you no choosy in 48-ish hours I randomly pick a choice and your character continues. If you're a no-show for 3 choices then your character will die.

EXCEPTION: If you give us a heads up as to you going on hiatus or not being around for a bit, then I'll put your character into a "safe mode" where he/she goes into hiding, but returns when you do.

Oh, and by the way, this whole zombietalk made me dream of a Tarrantino-styled Zombie-runaway thingy, which was really awesome!
