Was I the only one that was confused by the story line? |

I'm mired in the middle of that as we speak, and while it is certainly epic in scale it's basically the same storyline as every final fantasy.
EMPIRE BAD. RESISTANCE GOOD. SOME MAGIC JEWEL IS THE KEY TO SAVING THE WORLD. THE JEWEL WILL BE STOLEN AND YOU'LL SPEND HALF THE GAME TRYING TO GET IT BACK.
An unnerving attraction to a jailbait character is optional, but as the hottest character was obviously Fran... ( yeah, I'm not normally a furry chaser, but let's face it, she's aersome and Ashe is kind of a bitch. And Penelo is way too young. At least Rikku and Yuffie were in the neighborhood of adulthood.)
...
Wow I'm saying a lot of words. _________________ Support me on Patreon!

I've heard the ending is incredibly disappointing. I'm about 1/3 of the way through the game, myself. It's fun and I like the story (and hey, I like Ashe! She was screwed over and her husband was hot, she has a reason to be all B| over things!), but I get so FRUSTRATED with it. _________________

Fair enough, but frankly I think all the women were too staticy and 2 dimensional. They fall into the "girl" stereotypes: Ashe was the snobbish princess fighting for a cause, while being naive and hardheaded. Fran was the "don't call me a 'chick'" chick. And Penelo was the OMG I drip JPOP cuteness onto the whole thing girl.
Then again the guys weren't better either: Vaan is the cocky, hardheaded street rat, Balthier the overly romantic rebel with delusions of grandeur and Basch was the emo with a dark past. _________________ Support me on Patreon!

I think Vaan is just stupid, but Balthier is pretty badass, if I do say so myself. My favourite part? The part when you're leaving the forest and Vaan asks Fran her age. Because that sums up my dislike for Vaan so easily. XD _________________

Pardon, your beer?
An exchange teacher brought me Budweiser premium. We drink that (waterish) kind of stuff to cure hangovers. |

l-lol oh SNAP.
The only American beer I drink and like is Sam Adams. Octoberfest is really good. I mainly drink Molson Canadian though, and I'm partial to Carlsburg, which is Danish. _________________

@Blade: Pabst Blue Ribbon. That is king of the swill beers. You foreigners like your beer way too dark. That stuff is downright undrinkable to me (although my palate for beer isn't up to snuff).
I normally just drank vodka anyways, because you can mix anything with vodka and make it good. _________________ Support me on Patreon!

Pabst is Canadian, my good man. Not American.
Best mixed drink I've had so far: dirty tuacas. Apple pucker + Tuaca = OH MY GOD *_*
...and how did a thread on FFXII go from FFXII to booze? _________________
