I don't see why this is such a big deal. You all would have to be braindead to notice that the news covers alot of trivial stories, along with the important ones.

But because it is another chance to bush bash, feel free. No one is gonna stop you. After all, who needs to look at the good things a person has done when you can be secure in pointing fingers at the things the person has done wrong? Neutral

I get in a foul mood when I see 'bash person x' topics like this. Banging Head Biting Mad Bomb Angry

Mad

ummm ... could you remind me of any good things bush has done? Confused ... and while the news usually has some trivial stuff, i've never heard a report as redundant as this, about what sorta music someone listens to Mr. Green

He entertains the masses when he says stuff like "internets" on tv. That's a good thing.

I won't get in to a huge political discussion, so I'll leave it at this.... bad things get noticed more, and when you're the leader of the most powerful nation in the world and screw up, it's REALLY noticed.

This wasn't meant as a Bush-bashing thread, it was just to show how pathetic things have gotten; I mean, they're reporting on his music tastes of all things.

For the record, I bash Bush when he deserves it, not just for the fun of it. Very Happy

That's true.

I will put it this way:
The war - freeing Iraq and so on - were just but Bush's motives are questionable. Was it for money? Was it revenge? We may never know. But atleast people can vote there [without fear] now.

He may have done that, yes, but are we gonna pull out of there anytime soon? No, he's going to keep sending people to Iraq, and I don't like that.

The goal was fine.... the way it unfolded is not. All the lying, and such.

Yeah, and liberating Iraq and isolating Saddam were the only good parts of the war. I hope we leave before gas prices get any higher...

I wonder if Iraq is really stabilizing or not. I hope so.

I think things are a lot most UNstable than they're letting on. News shows do that quite often, so as not to let on what a piss-poor job our leaders are doing.

Gas prices here in Nevada: $2.59 USD as of today. Not sure if they went down or not. I hope they did. Mr. Green I'm gonna be broke if they don't go down soon.

That's per gallon in the US, yes?

We (well, the rest of the world) use liters.

1 gallon = 3.78 liters (so we'll say 3.8 )

$2.59 / 3.8 = about 82, 83 cents/liter. That's about what we're getting here, sometimes a bit more.

Here in KY we are getting the same. About $2.50.

I remember when it used to be $1.20... It has inflated sooo much over the last few years my dreams of free-riding the car around everywhere might be cut short. Sad
