Oops, you didn't read the word Microsoft on the box, creator the the well known Windows, primary operating system on most, if not all PC's.
How could they not port them to PC? |
1. It doesn't matter that it's Microsoft. It could be anyone. The point is, I see no reason to shell out an assload of cash (considering I don't make that much to begin with) for another console and a game when the same game is out for another console I already have (or PC... which I also have).
2. They could not port them to PC by keeping them X-Box exclusive. That way, if people want the game, they'll need to buy an X-Box. Money, my friend... it makes the world go 'round.
3. It's been my experience (and by "my experience", I mean "the versions I've played that friends own") that often, PC ports are just not as good as their console bretheren. A lot of FPS games often have levels cut out and the game quality itself suffers in the transition. If they can't port the game in its entirety with at least similar quality, they may do better to leave it on the console and avoid pissing off some gamers. _________________

There is more money by porting to PC as well as console. Some people are just PC freaks and won't play consoles. Not only that, it's expanding your horizons for selling the game. Bigger market, bigger cash flow. _________________ I am... |

There's nothing wrong with porting to PC as long as it's faithful to the original game. But when large portions of the game have been removed because the entire game couldn't be ported, chances are a lot of gamers are going to be less than satisfied. _________________

PS2 has no skrotum. |
I know what they use. I'm just saying, they won't buy the American-made console. They'd rather stick to their own Japanese-made console. And the reason they have Macs is because they know Windows sucks.
And for the PS2 comment, I'm a PS2 whore. To me, I don't care so much for the FPS games, and I mainly play RPGs, which is what the PS2 has. The X-Box has NOTHING that interests me, therefore I'm not gonna shell out $149.99 for a new console that has nothing on it that I like. _________________

I recommend Prince of Persia 2 and Jade Empire, when it comes out.
Oh yeah, and Perfect Dark Zero, if it ever comes out

I didn't say there was a problem. It's just a fact people like to miss and bash the Xbox with. It drives me nuts _________________ I am... |

I have a feeling this will be a great game. I have to preorder it still, though, but I'm sure the Xbox will be just fine, since it's Xbox exclusive (I think).
The only thing I had a against my Xbox was that the first one blew up. Literally. I turned it on, and after putting in the date, it began to load the game, and then the entire back blew up, sending smoke fire and sparks everywhere.
I went in for a closer look once it was out and discovered the powersupply blew up. No big deal, went to costco and got a new one with the warranty on the old one. Free Xbox, in 2 words. No problems after that, though _________________ I am... |

yeah i've heard about them releasing some new ac cords for the xbox, and what I meant was that my xbox (which I bought used) is a sensitive pain in the ass, it will play some games like there meant to be played (i.e. Halo 1&2, Burnout 3:Takedown), and other times it will take forever to load or just stop loading (i.e. KOTOR 1&2, some problems with SW:RC) _________________
