I just found a copy at a local game store for my collection, but I haven't played it much. I've never really been that fond of it...

Eggplant wizard. Eggplant wizard!

For those unfamiliar, I'm talking about this asshole:

Those purple/blue fuckers.

They wander back and forth on their ledges, throwing eggplants at you (yes, they actually throw eggplants). If you get hit by one, you turn in to an eggplant with legs (as seen in the picture, that purple blob on the left platform).

When that happens, you can't attack. The only way to get it removed is to visit the one hospital area in the dungeon (usually on the other side of the map)... again, with no offensive capabilities. Then you retrace your steps again to where you got pegged the first time, and try not to let it happen again.

The game was old-school Nintendo difficult. No checkpoints, a short-range attack, enemies that can duck your arrows, attacks coming from all angles, and one small bar of energy that can't be healed for some time... and that's the first level. Neutral

Worth playing, but I wouldn't call it a classic.

there's hard, there's really hard, and there's Nintendo hard.

And now with Wii there's 'Nintendo easy', which is a lot easier than 'really easy'
