So there's quite a few games out there with... let's say, second rate voice acting. Maybe third rate.

Some of them end up being so bad, that they're entertaining. So what are some of your favourites?

A favourite of mine: Megaman 8. Dr. Light sounds like Elmer Fudd:

Light: "These? Seems to be enahgy wesources. But I've nevah seen dis type on Earth. I don't know where dis enahgy came from, but... it can not let it fall in to Doctah Wahwee's hands.

You must recovah all de enahgy immedately W-Megaman!"

Megaman: "But where is Dr. Wily?"

Light: "Dat's a gewd questin. We may A-be able to locate anuddah enahgy emission from da radahr room. When we find dat meteah, we'll find Doctah Wahwee!"

I had to rewind the part about DOCTAH WAHWEE to see if I really heard it correctly the first time. That's AMAZING.

And while it's not exactly amusing or one of my favourites, but this is painful to listen to: Chaos Wars

I have this game. The opening of the game was so bad in English, I started it over (I had played maybe 15 minutes into it before I went OH GOD STOP THE VOICE ACTING D8 ) and played it in Japanese. And yes, that is actual voiceover from the game, not just some jerks redubbing the voices over for YouTube Poop.

Yuna's voice was the only one that irritated me in the original game. Everyone else's voice was fine with me.

I remember reading about that. If I remember, someone (don't remember if it was the lead designer, or the voice caster, or what) cast his own kids to read for the characters. His teenage kids, with absolutely no experience.

Edit: Uru sounds just like a kid I work with! Right down to the somewhat-bored voice inflections and everything.

Wow... they really do sound like a bunch of bored high school kids.

Sadly, Yuri (Uru in Chaos Wars) is supposed to be 25. I think Karin is about the same. The English voice casting makes so much more sense now, though. I never knew that about the voices.

Resident Evil 1. Very Happy

Barry: You were almost a Jill Sandwich!

Also, from the remake:

Barry: You would've fit nicely between two slices of bread.
