Being human, i wouldnt mind visiting freejia. Lets begin our journey then.

The next round is on it's way. I've got to make Freejia's HUD.

With the snow and having to go into work, I forgot about this... but we'll just say you guys spent round 6 "traveling". Sorry!

Round 7: Borgan's Operation

After a long trek across the mountain pass, the three men arrive in Freejia. The large building that operates as the central shopping center of town greets them stonily, with false cheer; and yet the men know that in the alleys behind it, lies the true darkness of the city.

"Where do you think the Paling would be in this city?" Jafar asks.

"We might check with Borgan. He is trying to get the slave trade up and running again," psychokind suggests. "Plus which he has his thumb on this town."

The three men head down the back alley to where Borgan lives, in a small house with a large hammer and stone on it: the symbol of the slave trade.

"Borgan," psychokind calls. "We need to speak with you."

Borgan stumbles out of the house. He has spiked green hair and a scar on his right eye.

"What is it?" Borgan demands. "Are you moderators? Trying to get me to quit?"

"Far from it. We want to make your job easier," pyschokind explains. "The protective Paling of this town also serves as a monitor to the Tower of Babel. If we were to shut this down, then you could operate truly underground."

Borgan rubs his chin. "I've never even heard of this Paling."

Psychokind, Blade and Jafar sigh.

"You've never heard of anything like a guardian of the town, or a protective device?" Jafar asks.

Borgan rubs his chin.

"No, not personally, although I know some places you might check. You could speak to my Bouncer. He's a full-demon, but you should have no trouble with him. He hangs out near the Pub, inside the Large Building.

You might talk to the Quest House owner. She always deals in quests... but for you gentlemen she has quests more suited to your style. Her name is Katharine. She's a dark agent, like you.

And lastly, you could always fish for information from the town psychic. She wanders the streets behind the large building."

Im heading to the large building near the inn to talk to this bouncer. Maybe a demon will be able to sence the presence of protective magic somewhere around the town.

"I'll come along, Jafar. but I suggest we visit the quest house after the destroying the paling, if we can."

Jason, in my character sheet you say my job is "fortune teller", but since I'm evil it should be "Doomsayer"

Jafar and psychokind head into the Large Building and see the demon drinking a large tankard of ale. He is given a wide berth by the other guests.

"Ho there!" Jafar calls. "You must be Borgan's bouncer."

"What of it?" The demon grunts coolly.

"We have a need of you," psychokind explains.

The two explain the situation to the demon.

"A Paling? I can feel it out. It rests deep within the heart of Freejia, like all Palings do. This one lies in a secret basement beneath this very building. Destroy it, and the defenses of this town will shatter in ruin," The Bouncer smiles. "Now, let me be."

Suggested Options:
A) Go find this basement Paling.
B) Talk to Katharine at the Quest House.
C) Talk to the town psychic.

Katharine sits in a chair, wearing a very skimpy black corset, covered by a tattered black robe. She has black fingernails and lips and skin as white as a porcelain doll.

"I've been waiting for you boys!" She smiles.

Jafar leans over and whispers to psychokind: "I'd curse that."

"Hell yeah," psychokind whispers back. He turns to Katharine. "You must be Katharine."

"Yeah, that's me. Arashi told me to give you boys access to the good books. Tons of evil to be done," she smiles. Her smile turns to a frown and she nods. "But first, we have a Paling to deal with, now don't we?"

Jafar nods eagerly.

"The Paling lies in the basement of the large building. If you destroy it, I will not only let you access the evil quest book... but I will give you all Terminals."

"Terminals?" psychokind asks.

"They are computers that can track many things... your quest progress, your equipment, your job and skills... all sorts of things. Very useful. Plus they keep your resources in order."

"Sounds great!" Jafar exclaims.

"Head to the center of the large building. There will be a trap door underneath the hexagram. Be warned. The hexagram will no doubt summon a guardian of the Paling," Katharine warns.

Suggested Options:
A) Go deal with the Paling.

hm i think maybe we should wait for blade to join us before we take the guardian? what do you think pyschokind? ill follow your decision.

With his brandnew axe, and his brandnew armour, and his bags full of healingpotions, Blade walks out of the shop, stops...
"Yeah, that's more like it..." he says to himself, smells the air, catches the scent of his fellows, and head to them.

Round 10: Pale in Comparison

psychokind and Jafar head to the large building. The main room is surprisingly quiet, with only one man leaning against the wall, apparently waiting for somebody. A girl walks in, waves at him, and the head up the stairs to the roof.

"Perfect, we should be able to access that trap door there," psychokind nods, pointing at the large hexagram drawn on the ground.

"Weren't going to do anything without me were you?" Blade laughs fiercely as he walks in.

Jafar stumbles back, noticing Blade's new thick black armor and his massive war axe.

"Blunt and too the point, I see," psychokind smiles. "Well we may require some physical assistance."

psychokind moves into the hexagram, and it glows a bright white.

"INFIDELS! TRAITORS! YOU SHALL NOT HARM THE PALING!"

"They're always so happy to see us," Jafar mocks.

"That makes two of us. Come gentlemen," psychokind laughs.

A massive dragon appears in the middle of the hexagram.

"What is this?!" Blade shouts.

"It is not one of the five great dragons. A mere cub, enslaved for the purpose of this towns defense. Hold fast, though. This may be actually be a challenge."

A bolt of thunder crashes outside and suddenly the three men feel themselves being lifted high above the ground. When the flash ends they are standing upon a floating rock high above Freejia.

"Good, more room to stretch!" Jafar shouts.
